Of everything I do, the most important role in my life is Dad. I have been blessed with nine wonderful children and an incredible wife who brought all of them into this life, one by one. It has been an incredible journey full of happiness, hope, joy, fear, and pain. This life is about learning, growth, and becoming, the kind of becoming that only happens when we experience all of the emotions life has to offer in every circumstance. Through it all, my faith is what sustains me and this blog is about leaving a record of my faith for my family. I hope that each of my children will find joy as they reflect back upon our experiences as a family, insight as they see our life from my perspective, and hope in the faith that unites us as a family.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While this blog is about my experiences and thoughts as a member of the church, I do not speak on behalf of the church. I also do not profess to have a perfect understanding of the gospel, and there is a great deal of opinion in my posts. Despite my imperfections, I have been charged to “train up [my children] in the way [they] should go” in hopes that they “will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6) to the best of my ability.
In that spirit, I share what I know to be true that it might bless my family for years to come and hope that they will never doubt my love and faith for them.
