We set a lot of expectations for yourselves. We try to work hard each day, but some days are more difficult than others. In my reading this morning I was reminded of the way we learn. If you don’t get something at first, keep trying. As you experiment with the knowledge you have, new ideas will come, new connections will be made in your mind, and eventually you will learn and understand.
This process works with anything we learn in life. Progress is often slower than we want it to be. Setbacks are common and can lead to frustration. But we were designed to learn this way. The important thing is to work hard and be patient with yourself. Ask for help, pray for guidance and understanding, and be confident in the abilities God gave you. Never give up. You can do it!
2 Nephi 2:30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.
